Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 5, 2026 • Last updated: August 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Rowmuse ("Rowmuse," "we," "us," or "our") handles information in the Rowmuse game (the "App"). It applies to the version of the App that is currently available. Section 4 separately describes an optional online mode that is planned for a future version but is not currently available or active.
1. Current Offline Mode
The current version of Rowmuse operates entirely offline:
- no Rowmuse account is available or required;
- the App does not transmit gameplay or profile information to Rowmuse;
- the App does not include online multiplayer or cross-device synchronization;
- the App does not include real-money in-app purchases;
- the App does not use advertising, advertising identifiers, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
To provide and restore offline gameplay, the App stores the following information locally on your device:
- the current game board, run status, score, move count, and related gameplay state;
- best score, locally earned coin balance, and booster inventory;
- selected theme;
- total active play time;
- sound, music, and haptic preferences; and
- the last saved App destination needed to restore the expected launch state.
This information is stored in the App's local container using Apple platform storage. It is not sent to Rowmuse or used to identify you. Local information remains on the device until it is replaced by normal App use or the App is deleted. Deleting the App removes its local container from that device. Copies that may exist in an Apple-managed device backup are governed by your Apple backup settings and Apple's terms and privacy policy.
3. Current Data Collection and Third Parties
Rowmuse does not currently collect personal data through the App, operate an App backend, or share App data with third parties. There are no advertising, analytics, account, social-login, payment, or multiplayer SDKs in the current version.
Apple independently processes information necessary to provide the App Store, device backup, operating-system, payment, and diagnostic services under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Information processed independently by Apple is not transmitted to Rowmuse by the current App.
4. Planned Optional Online Mode — Not Yet Available
Rowmuse plans to offer an optional authenticated online mode in a future version. This mode is not part of the current App, its systems are not active, and the categories below are not currently collected by Rowmuse.
The planned online mode is intended to support cross-device progress, real-money in-app purchases, purchase restoration, and online multiplayer while allowing players to continue using an offline mode without creating an account.
If implemented, the online mode may process only the information needed to provide and protect those features, such as:
- Account information: an account identifier and, depending on the chosen sign-in method, an email address, private relay address, or name that the player chooses to provide;
- Synchronized game information: player profile, progress, scores, coin balance, booster inventory, selected theme, preferences, and saved game state;
- Purchase information: product identifiers, transaction identifiers, entitlement status, and refund or restoration status. Payment-card details would be handled by Apple and would not be received by Rowmuse;
- Multiplayer information: player identifier or display name, match participants, invitations, moves, results, timestamps, and online-session status; and
- Technical and security information: App and operating-system version, network address, server request logs, and limited diagnostic or integrity information needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, and resolve failures.
Such information would be used to authenticate players, synchronize progress, provide purchases and multiplayer, maintain service security, prevent fraud or abuse, provide support, and comply with legal obligations. It would not be sold or used for cross-app advertising tracking.
Before any online mode becomes available, Rowmuse will update this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy disclosure with the final data categories, purposes, service providers, retention periods, security measures, available consent controls, and account-deletion process. The updated notice will take effect no earlier than the release of the relevant feature. Where required, the App will request consent before information is transmitted.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Rowmuse currently has no server-side player records to retain, access, export, or delete. You can remove current local App information from a device by deleting the App, subject to any Apple-managed device backup described above.
If accounts are introduced, Rowmuse will provide a way to request account and associated personal-data deletion and will publish the applicable retention rules before the feature is launched.
6. Children
The current offline App does not transmit personal data to Rowmuse. Before any online feature intended or permitted for children is introduced, Rowmuse will implement and disclose any age controls, parental consent, or other protections required by applicable law.
7. Security
Current gameplay information is protected by the security and application sandboxing provided by Apple's operating systems. If online services are introduced, Rowmuse will apply reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, its data practices, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will identify a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated in the App or by another appropriate method when required.
